Maternal Mental Health

Motherhood is a journey of ups and downs.
Counseling for the mom-to-be and new mom. This includes pre-parenting prep, infertility, grief & loss, depression & anxiety during pregnancy, postpartum depression & anxiety, adjustment to motherhood, and parenting those littles.

My own motherhood journey started out on a rough note. Getting pregnant was not easy for me, which quickly became clear. I had heartache and worry for several years. Along the way, a “ray of sunshine” doctor grabbed my hand (which I will never forget) and quietly said, “You are going to be a mom someday. I don’t have all the answers of how this will come to be, but you
will
be a mom.”

Those hope-filled words were like a lifeline. I found success in infertility treatment and, simultaneously, discovered my love of maternal mental health.

Twenty years later, I am passionately working with families experiencing infertility, pregnancy loss, postpartum depression and anxiety, and adjustment into motherhood. I can relate firsthand to the struggles so many women experience throughout motherhood.

Being a mom is hard – really hard – and also full of love and joy. My goal is to help you experience the
realness
of motherhood – the ups and downs and in-betweens – and to be easier on yourself along the way. I love the work that I do and I am so blessed to be on this journey with you.
Everyone wants to hold the baby – let us also remember to hold the mom.
A mother’s grief is as tireless as her love.
