“Be yourself; everyone else is taken.”
Counseling for adolescents (ages 13-19) is first and foremost a place for your teen to talk in a nonjudgmental space. Here, your teen will be absolutely respected and heard, and get to say, think, and feel whatever is on their heart.

While the teenage years can be a lot of fun, they are also not easy for many. Your teen’s brain is still developing and they often lack the tools for managing their emerging, intense emotions. I will provide them with a
road map
for navigating these ups and downs, so that they have the tools for life.
Your teen might be faced with any one of these challenges:
Social struggles
Preoccupation with social media/screens
Issues with dating and relationships
Family problems or divorce
Pressure with academics and/or athletics
Choosing a life path (career/college)
Grief over a loved one
In teen counseling, I use cognitive-behavioral therapy to help my patients reframe negative thoughts, increase self-esteem, treat depression and anxiety, and learn coping skill for handling the stressors unique to the teenage lifestyle. Having someone to talk to can help make this time easier and I would love to help your teen on his/her journey.
“It’s okay to make mistakes, to have bad days, to be less than perfect, to do what’s best for you, to be yourself.”
